Coastal Carolina men’s tennis player Christopher Norlin was named Sun Belt Player of the Week, according to a March 18 announcement from the league.

The recognition comes after Norlin played a key role in Coastal Carolina’s 4-3 comeback victory over Elon on March 13. After the team lost the first three points, Norlin secured an important win on court one by defeating No. 94 Veljko Krstic with scores of 7-6(4), 6-2.

Norlin is the first Coastal Carolina player to receive this honor during the current season. The last Chanticleer to earn the award was Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda, who is now a graduate assistant coach, on March 19, 2025.

The team will next compete against Campbell in Buies Creek, North Carolina, on March 22 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
