The Coastal Carolina softball team defeated the Georgia State Panthers 4–3 on April 2 in Atlanta.

The win is significant for Coastal Carolina as it marks a return to their home run-hitting form and improves their season record. The game featured strong performances from several players and close competition between the two teams.

Izzy Ramirez put Coastal Carolina ahead early with a two-run home run over the left field wall in the second inning. Georgia State answered back in the fourth when Lauren Brister hit a three-run homer, giving her team a temporary lead. In the fifth inning, Coastal tied the game at 3–3 after taking advantage of two errors by Georgia State.

Kaelin Cash secured victory for Coastal Carolina with a solo home run in the sixth inning. Pitcher McKennah Metzger earned her third win of the season, allowing three runs on six hits over more than six innings pitched.
