The Coastal Carolina women’s lacrosse team will return to Brooks Stadium for two home games this week, according to a March 24 announcement. The Chanticleers are set to conclude non-conference play against Old Dominion on Wednesday at noon and will host Atlantic Sun Conference newcomer Austin Peay on Saturday at 11 a.m.

After Saturday’s game, the program will recognize its nine seniors: Reese Allnutt, Gianna Giacolone, Sophie Kingsborough, Grace Lord, Alyson Mascolo, Ella Parker, Avery Przymylski, Nikki Seven and Lily Wallace. This senior recognition highlights the contributions of these student-athletes during their time with the team.

The Chanticleers aim to recover from recent conference road losses against Jacksonville and Stetson. The team currently holds a 6-4 overall record and is undefeated in three home games at Brooks Stadium but has yet to secure a conference win this season.

Wednesday’s matchup marks the first meeting between Coastal Carolina and Old Dominion since 2020. The Chanticleers have won the last three contests against Old Dominion and lead the all-time series 3-1. Old Dominion enters with a 5-6 record after losing its last three games. Austin Peay is in its first season as an ASUN member with a current record of 4-7 overall and is also seeking its first conference victory.

Players Sophie Kingsborough and Alexandra Horn are both working to extend their point-scoring streaks to ten consecutive games. Kingsborough has scored in every game this season and stands second on the team with nineteen goals; Horn leads with twenty-one goals and ranks second in total points (thirty-nine), assists (eighteen), and assists per game (1.80) within the ASUN Conference. Goalkeeper Charlotte Sadler leads the league in save percentage (.427) while ranking second in saves (seventy-seven) and goals-against average (8.88).

The upcoming matches offer opportunities for players to continue strong individual performances as well as for fans to honor departing seniors.
