Congressman Russell Fry, currently representing South Carolina’s 7th district, shared a series of updates via social media addressing key issues and initiatives he is involved with. Fry, who has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom Rice, communicated his active engagement in upcoming legislative activities and local dedications.

On April 7, 2025, Fry highlighted the week’s agenda in a tweet, discussing ongoing tariff negotiations and collaboration with Senate colleagues on a budget plan aimed at advancing the American people’s interests as well as the “America First” agenda of the current administration. He expressed his confidence in a successful outcome from these efforts. “Busy week ahead as we watch countries come to the table for tariff negotiations and work with Senate colleagues to finalize a budget plan that works in favor of the American people and @POTUS’ America First agenda.”

On April 8, 2025, Fry celebrated a development in immigration enforcement, describing it as a victory for the rule of law and praising the administration’s efforts to remove criminal illegal immigrants from the country. “Huge win for @POTUS and for the rule of law! Now, the Trump administration can continue getting criminal illegals OUT of our country.”

Later that day, Fry reflected on attending a ceremony in Surfside Beach over the weekend. He joined the Childs family and the U.S. Postal Service to dedicate a post office renamed in honor of Nancy Yount Childs, recognizing her contributions to public service. “I was honored to join the USPS and the Childs family this weekend for the dedication of the post office at 420 Highway 17 North in Surfside Beach, renamed in memory of Nancy Yount Childs.”
