Congressman Russell Fry, representing South Carolina’s 7th district, has recently shared his views on several key issues via social media. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom Rice, Fry has been vocal about his stance on energy policies, immigration, and trade practices.

On March 19, 2025, Congressman Fry criticized the Biden administration’s handling of a report concerning LNG usage. He stated that “The Biden administration buried a report showing the use of LNG has no connection to increased greenhouse gas emission.” He further commented that this was indicative of Democrats’ priorities, suggesting they prefer to align with climate activists rather than focusing on affordable energy solutions.

In another statement dated March 20, 2025, Fry expressed concerns over sanctuary cities in the United States. He remarked that “U.S. sanctuary cities are willingly allowing violent gangs to operate without consequence.” Fry questioned when Democrats would prioritize American citizens’ safety and well-being.

Additionally, on March 20, 2025, Congressman Fry announced his support for legislation aimed at protecting local industries from unfair foreign competition. He shared his involvement in co-sponsoring the Save Our Shrimpers Act with fellow Republicans. According to Fry: “South Carolina’s shrimp industry plays a key role in our state’s economy, so it’s crucial that we protect our shrimpers!”
