On Friday, Feb. 28, former Socastee High School standout Cooper Bryson’s current college team, the Catawba Indians, won 15-13 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Mars Hill Mountain Lions.
The game took place at Henderson Field. This was their first matchup against the Mountain Lions this season.
The Indians’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Henderson Field against Mars Hill Mountain Lions.
Coastal Carolina University’s track and field teams are participating this week at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship hosted by South Alabama. Several student-athletes hold top marks within their events for this season’s conference rankings.
