On Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 4 p.m., Cam Freeman, who previously starred at North Myrtle Beach High School, helped his college team, the Longwood Lancers, secure an 8-3 victory in their NCAA Division I contest against the Elon Phoenix.

The matchup was held at Walter C. Latham Park and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Freeman threw 1.1 innings, surrendering one earned run with two walks and two strikeouts.

The Lancers will host their next game at Buddy Bolding Stadium against the Youngstown State Penguins on Friday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m.
