Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his thoughts and announcements through a series of tweets. Fry has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom Rice and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022.

On December 7, 2024, Congressman Fry commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a reflective tweet: “Today serves as a somber reminder of the lives lost and sacrifices made during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. We honor the memory of those who served and the resilience that guided our nation through one of its darkest days.”

Two days later, on December 9, he announced an upcoming event via Twitter: “I’m excited to announce our office is hosting a telephone town hall event today at 5:00pm! I’m looking forward to giving you an update on how our office has been working for #SC07 at home and in Washington. To join, call 855-962-1008. Talk to you soon!” This event was intended to update constituents on his work both locally and in Washington.

Later that day, Fry expressed criticism towards the current administration’s energy policies: “American LNG exports bolster our economy and reduce global carbon emissions. Yet, for some reason, the Biden-Harris administration chose to pause them and instead cater to climate activists and TikTok influencers. Political agendas should NEVER dictate energy policies.” He voiced concerns over political influences affecting energy decisions.
