The following day, on April 21, 2025, Fry detailed his participation in a career day event at Horry County Schools. He expressed his enthusiasm by stating, “I had a blast at Horry County Schools career day talking to students about what it means to be a U.S. Congressman! From how laws are made to the importance of public service, they asked thoughtful questions and brought curiosity and excitement.”

Russell Fry, representing South Carolina’s 7th district, assumed his role in the U.S. Congress in 2023, following his predecessor Tom Rice. Fry’s career in public service also includes his time in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach, South Carolina in 1985, Fry currently resides in Murrells Inlet and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a JD from Charleston School of Law.
