On Tuesday, Feb. 25, former Aynor High School standout Ryanne Ellis’ current college team, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, won 8-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Winthrop Eagles.
The game took place at St. John Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Eagles this season.
The Chanticleers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at St. John Stadium against Wisconsin Badgers.
Coastal Carolina University’s track and field teams are participating this week at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship hosted by South Alabama. Several student-athletes hold top marks within their events for this season’s conference rankings.
