On Saturday, March 1, former Socastee High School standout Cooper Bryson’s current college team, the Catawba Indians, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Mars Hill Mountain Lions.
The game took place at Henderson Field. This was their third matchup against the Mountain Lions this season.
The Indians’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. at John Kurtz Field against Georgia Bobcats.
Coastal Carolina University’s track and field teams are participating this week at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship hosted by South Alabama. Several student-athletes hold top marks within their events for this season’s conference rankings.
