Median-sized businesses in Horry County zip codes in 2016 have less than five employees, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

There were 9,032 total businesses in the county zip codes, with 1,739 retail trade businesses (19.3%) accounting for the largest proportion of these businesses. 4,762 businesses (52.7%) had fewer than five employees, and 22 (0.2%) had 250 or more.
