Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on August 6.
A board-certified interventional cardiologist has joined Tidelands Health and is accepting new patients.
Dr. Nitesh Ainani specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases of the heart and blood vessels using non-surgical, catheter-based procedures and specialized imaging techniques. He offers care and treatment of coronary heart disease, heart valve disorders, congenital heart disease and other conditions.
He is seeing patients at Tidelands Health Heart and Vascular Specialists locations in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. Dr. Ainani is fluent in several languages, including English, Gujarati, Hindi and Sindhi.
Dr. Ainani earned his medical degree at Gujarat University and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, National Board of Echocardiography, Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
