Georgetown County - SC: Sheriff encourages signup for emergency alerts

Georgetown County - SC issued the following announcement on August 9.

Georgetown County Sheriff Carter Weaver encourages residents to sign up for CodeRed, a free service that sends out an alert when a resident is missing or when Sheriff’s Deputies are dealing with an event that may affect you. The service is free and can help get the word out within minutes of an incident or missing child notification. To register online, visit AChildIsMissing.org. On your smartphone, you can text “ACIM” to 99411. For residents without Internet, you can call 888-875-2246 to receive a phone message.
