City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on August 12.
Myrtle Beach welcomes thousands of athletes from across the country for multiple events this month. From Grand Park to the Sports Center, nearly every sports tourism venue will be in use for the remaining August weekends. Sports include baseball, softball, cheerleading, dance, pickleball and soccer. Here’s a quick look at what to expect.
• August 12-15… Youth Nationals Baseball All American Games at the Grand Park Athletic Complex (303 All Stars expected)
• August 12-15… Youth Nationals Softball All American Games at the Ned Donkle Field Complex (459 All Stars expected)
• August 13-15… NCA/NDA Spirit Collegiate Cheerleading/Dance camp at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (775 athletes expected)
• August 14-15… Big Time Hoops Circuit of Champions at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center (60 teams expected)
• August 21-22… USSSA Youth and Adult Baseball at the Grand Park Athletic Complex
• August 27-29… USA Pickleball Regionals at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center (600 athletes expected)
• August 28-29… Beach United Pre-Season Soccer Classic at the Grand Park Athletic Complex
• August 28-29… Tier 1 Fastpitch girls tournament at the Ned Donkle Field Complex
