City of Myrtle Beach: Myrtle Beach Airforce Base Historical Marker Information Can Be Found In One Place

Myrtl

City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on August 19.

You ask, and we deliver! Now you can see all of the historic markers that tell the story of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base in one place. Visit https://www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/MBAFBHistory.pdf. More than 150 markers and other vintage photos tell the story of the people, places and planes. The Myrtle Beach Air Force Base closed in 1993. Thanks to the Myrtle Beach Air Base Redevelopment Authority and the City of Myrtle Beach, it’s been transformed into the Market Common district that we all know today. You can view the historic markers in person throughout the former Air Force Base property.
