City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on August 22.
The City of Myrtle Beach’s Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department hosts a speed walk challenge during the month of September. The competition takes place at Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium, 1004 Crabtree Lane. Contestants compete to record the fastest walking one mile around the outside perimeter of the basketball court. Participants have three chances to test throughout the month; participants must confirm scores with staff members. Tests must be completed by September 27, 2021. The contestants with the highest scores will advance to the championship, set for September 30! For more information, call 843-918-2355.
