Georgetown County: Public meetings to focus on bike/ pedestrian paths

Georgetown County issued the following announcement on September 22.

Two public meetings will take place next week to present a draft conceptual plan for the Plantersville Scenic Byway Loop and Choppee Black River Trail. The meetings are scheduled for:

  • 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Plantersville Elementary School, 1668 Exodus Dr., Georgetown, and
  • 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at Choppee Regional Resource Center, 8189 Choppee Rd., Georgetown.
The draft will include specific alignments for a pedestrian and bicycle network that will be used for transportation and recreational purposes in the Plantersville area. Residents may attend the meetings in person or virtually. To join virtually residents should register for Wednesday's meeting or register for Thursday's meeting.
