Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce: COVID-19 vaccination clinic set for Wednesday at Inlet Affairs in Murrells Inlet

Vaccination

Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on October 4.

Tidelands Health is partnering with Drunken Jack’s Restaurant to offer a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Wednesday in Murrells Inlet, and the first 25 people to get a shot will receive a $25 gift certificate to the beloved Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurant.

Health system team members will administer the vaccine during the clinic Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. at Inlet Affairs, 4024 U.S. 17 Business in Murrells Inlet.

“Vaccination is our best weapon in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. Our team continues to make it as convenient as possible for everyone to get this lifesaving vaccine,” said Kelly Kaminski, senior director of community health resources at Tidelands Health. “We are grateful to Drunken Jack’s Restaurant for partnering with us to offer this opportunity.”

Tidelands Health has experienced an uptick in demand for vaccination since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved booster doses for eligible higher-risk groups. Booster shots, as well as first, second and third doses, will be available during Wednesday’s clinic. Click here for details on eligibility for booster shots.

Tidelands Health has administered more than 91,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses since December. The health system continues to offer the vaccine at three regional vaccination sites and Tidelands Health Family Medicine offices, as well as on site at area businesses and organizations.

The Tidelands Health community health resources team offers mobile vaccination clinics at businesses and organizations in Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties. To request a no-cost, on-site clinic, an organization should email communitywellness@tidelandshealth.org or call 843-520-8586.

In addition to the special vaccination clinic Wednesday, Tidelands Health offers walk-in vaccination at three regional vaccination sites:

  • Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Harris Medical Pavilion entrance, 606 Black River Road, Georgetown, every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Tidelands Health Medical Park at The Market Common, 2200 Crow Lane, Myrtle Beach, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • The Compass Professional Center, 10607 Highway 707, Myrtle Beach, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
