Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on October 18.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –Visit Myrtle Beach, the tourism marketing arm of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, is pleased to announce Chris Mowder has joined the marketing division as the new Associate Creative Director.
“Chris is an award-winning designer with nearly 20 years of experience in journalism, tourism and marketing,” said Diane Charno, Vice President of Brand and Communications for Visit Myrtle Beach. “As Associate Creative Director, he’ll join Visit Myrtle Beach’s award-winning marketing team to bring The Beach brand experience to life through creative design and storytelling across all channels.”
Chris most recently worked as a senior designer at Archetype SC. Past roles include front-end developer for Jegs High Performance; web administrator for Ohio.org; lead designer for MyrtleBeach.com; founder of ListenUp MyrtleBeach; and illustrator, artist and editor at various newspapers, including The Sun News and Myrtle Beach Herald.
“I’m honored to have joined the talented group of people at Visit Myrtle Beach who share my passion for this destination and all that it has to offer visitors from near and far,” Mowder said.
Chris lives in Myrtle Beach with his family.
