Georgetown County issued the following announcement on November 4.
Georgetown County Parks and Recreation will host its very first Youth NFL Flag Football Super Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Beck Recreation Center. Festivities will run all morning and into early afternoon, with tailgating and pre-game events beginning at 8 a.m. Games start at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The day will also include a Parade of Teams, half-time events and concessions.
In the ages 5-8 Division game at 10 a.m., the River Conference's Andrews Saints will take on the Coastal Conference's Waccamaw Vikings. In the ages 9-12 Division game at 11:30 a.m., the Coastal Conference's Waccamaw Patriots will take on the River Conference's Northwest 49ers.
There is no charge for admission and the public is welcome to come out and support their favorite teams. Bring chairs, blankets, etc. for tailgating.
The event was originally scheduled for Nov. 6 and was postponed due to rain.
