Georgetown County issued the following announcement on December 2.
The public is invited to provide input on the public use activities and services to be offered at Hasty Point, a new parcel recently added to the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.
The refuge is undergoing a comprehensive visitor services study for this tract and public input is important to this effort. Hasty Point historically served as a rice plantation and has important cultural significance for Georgetown County.
Four in-person, open forums are scheduled throughout the County where all are welcome to offer their opinions. The Dec. 7 session at Howard Auditorium will have the option for participants to join virtually. The meeting will be posted at youtube.com/gtcountysc.
