Georgetown County: Public meetings scheduled to discuss plans for Hasty Point property

65ll

Georgetown County issued the following announcement on December 2.

The public is invited to provide input on the public use activities and services to be offered at Hasty Point, a new parcel recently added to the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.

The refuge is undergoing a comprehensive visitor services study for this tract and public input is important to this effort. Hasty Point historically served as a rice plantation and has important cultural significance for Georgetown County.

Four in-person, open forums are scheduled throughout the County where all are welcome to offer their opinions. The Dec. 7 session at Howard Auditorium will have the option for participants to join virtually. The meeting will be posted at youtube.com/gtcountysc. Those who prefer to participate virtually can join the Dec. 7 meeting at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/743504381 or via phone at (312) 757-3121.

Light fare will be served. Please RSVP to info@mandalaresearch.com and indicate the meeting you will attend.

Meeting dates are as follows:

  • Dec. 7, 5:30 p.m., Howard Auditorium, 1610 Hawkins St.
