Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on January 7.
Get your COVID-19 questions about Omicron, boosters, testing and more answered personally by Tidelands Health physicians during a phone help line organized by the health system and WBTW News13.
Community members who want to speak directly with a physician can tune in to WBTW News13 on Tuesday for the 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts. The call-in number will be visible on screen during the newscast. The broadcast can also be viewed online at wbtw.com/watch-live.
“The latest COVID-19 surge fueled by the Omicron variant has prompted lots of questions in our community,” said Dr. Gerald Harmon, vice president of medical affairs at Tidelands Health. “The help line offers a unique opportunity for community members to get their specific questions answered personally by me or another one of our physicians. The help line is just another avenue for our team to share accurate, reliable information to help our community have the facts and make the best decisions during this pandemic.”
This is the fourth help line offered by Tidelands Health and WBTW since the start of the pandemic to answer questions about COVID-19.
