City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on January 14.
Thousands of athletes are in Myrtle Beach this holiday weekend for two major sports tourism events. You’ll find 71 adult softball teams competing in USSSA Softball’s Winter World Series #2 at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. And we have 274 girls’ volleyball teams competing at the John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center and Myrtle Beach Convention Center in the annual Winter Bump Volleyball Tournament. The volleyball tourney is for ages 12 to 18 in club divisions. Softball games are Friday through Sunday, while volleyball games are Saturday through Monday.
