City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on February 10.
Good news! You can rescue dogs like Harper this weekend during the Grand Strand Humane Society's fee-waived dog adoption event! Harper was found alone, on the side of the road, on a cold day. But, she was rescued, adopted in Myrtle Beach and is now 'living the life!' You have the chance to rescue your family's new best friend from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, February 12 and 13. The event has 65 adoptable dogs to choose from, and will be held at the Bill M. Wingard Puppy Playground on the corner of 21st Avenue North Extension and Mr. Joe White Avenue Extension. Adopt, don't shop!
