Georgetown County issued the following announcement.
The Georgetown County Building Department's permit desk will be closed for the majority of next week as staff completes necessary training on new permitting software. The only hours the permit desk will be open next week are: Tuesday morning (March 29) from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and all day Friday (April 1). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. A dropbox will be available at the entrance to the courthouse for those who need to drop off permit applications and plans during this closure. Application forms are available at gtcounty.org/building. Building inspections will not be impacted by the closure. Callers may leave messages regarding inspections at 843-545-3261 or permit questions at 843-545-3116.
