Little River Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 21.
The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is pleased to announce that the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center has signed on as this years Presenting sponsor for the World Famous Blue Crab Festival. VWHRC's first ever fundraiser was held at our very own Blue Crab Festival in 2009!
"VWHRC's first fundraiser in 2009 was at the Blue Crab Festival and raised $13 during the 2 days and had 1 veteran assist. Today we have assisted over 6,000 veterans and donated over $300k to end veteran homelessness. We are going to end veteran homelessness in our area and create a plan to end it Nationwide. The Little River Chamber of Commerce and The Blue Crab Festival will help us achieve this goal of ending veteran homelessness and bring incredible praise to our beautiful area!" -Scott Dulebohn (VWHRC - Director)
