Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 24.

Cap’n Cork is a bottle shop, tap room and coffee bar located in the shopping center behind Chick-fil-A in Murrells Inlet.

The store officially opened in Nov. 2021 and the official grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 23.

It’s a family-owned business with 23 beer taps pouring mainly craft beers, five wine taps and a large collection of wine and beer for sale. You’ll find bottled favorites from breweries local to the Carolinas.

Owners Joe and Mary Albanese wanted to create a space where they could enjoy high quality wines at reasonable prices.

Their son, Joey, takes the lead on the bar side selecting beers to put on tap. One of their daughters, Victoria, helps with marketing.

The coffee bar features Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, which is ground fresh in the store for typical brews and espressos.
