Webster University was awarded our August Nonprofit of the Month sponsored by South Atlantic Bank.
The Webster University Myrtle Beach Metropolitan Campus has been providing master’s degrees to the Grand Strand since the 1970’s when they were located at the Myrtle Beach Airforce Base. They moved to the building where they are now and have been for over 40 years. The building was recently renovated so they can add new technology and other tools so students have an even better learning environment.
What makes Webster University Myrtle Beach unique is the ‘weekend format’ they offer, with classes typically meeting on the weekends, every other weekend. They pride themselves in providing accredited graduate degrees to the working adult, allowing them to fulfill their full-time life responsibilities while obtaining a graduate degree on the weekends.
They know their students need flexibility when it comes to the classroom, which is why they offer programs online or in person. That means you can take our courses on your schedule so you can balance school with work and life. Also, no GRE is required.
Something exciting that they just started to offer is the Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling which is accredited by The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This gives everyone the opportunity to have access to free appointments with a mental health professional. It also gives students the opportunity to get licensed for free through scholarships. It’s designed for people wanting to practice all types of counseling.
