Do you have video cameras around your home or business? Video surveillance is one of the best methods used to catch and find people who commit crimes. The Myrtle Beach Police Department asks people with video cameras to consider signing up to be part of the C.A.P.T.U.R.E. Program (Community Awareness Program Through Utilizing Residential Eyes).
Once you sign-up, officers will only contact you should a crime occur near where your cameras are installed. If necessary, you may be contacted by the MBPD to review your camera footage if it's in the vicinity of an investigation. Your video is for official use only, and your personal information will remain confidential and not be distributed (unless required by law or court order). Want to sign-up?
