Myrtle Beach Area Cvb Named Tourism Office Of The Year By Southeast Tourism Society

The Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is pleased to announce that the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) has presented Visit Myrtle Beach with their annual Tourism Office of the Year award.

The recognition is one of sixteen Shining Example Awards given to tourism organizations, businesses or individuals during the society’s annual Connections conference held in Concord, N.C., Sept. 6-9. The Shining Example Awards Program, an industry fixture since 1985, recognizes outstanding contributions to travel and tourism within the Southeast United States.

Competing against CVBs across 13 states in the Southeast, Visit Myrtle Beach was named Tourism Office of the Year for the category representing large destination marketing organizations with annual budgets over $1 million. Visit Oxford (Mississippi) received the award for the small-market budget category of under $1 million.
