Partnership Grand Strand Receives $125,000 Grant From Truist Foundation

Partnership Grand Strand (PGS), the new foundation launched by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) in February 2022, is the proud recipient of a $125,000 grant from Truist Foundation.

Part of the Charlotte, N.C.-based banking institution Truist Financial Corporation, the Truist Foundation provides grants to organizations that focus on building career pathways to economic mobility and strengthening small businesses by revitalizing the entrepreneurial spirit.

“We are truly grateful to Truist Foundation for bestowing Partnership Grand Strand with this generous donation that has helped us exceed our $3 million fundraising goal and will greatly contribute to our mission to accelerate economic prosperity throughout the Myrtle Beach area and improving the quality of life for us all,” said Karen Riordan, MBACC President and CEO.

PGS efforts will diversify the region’s economy and grow small business opportunities; attract, develop and retain employees; support the revitalization of Myrtle Beach’s downtown and oceanfront areas; and scale up infrastructure and transportation mobility.
