Honor a loved one this holiday season and support Tidelands Health team members by donating to Tidelands Health Foundation’s Lights of Love.
The popular campaign offers a unique opportunity to honor, memorialize or recognize a loved one while also supporting scholarships awarded through the health system’s McRoy and Jo Skipper Initiative for Learning and Teaching to Tidelands Health employee partners and local graduating high school seniors pursuing a health-related degree.
“A single donation to Lights of Love spreads the spirit of the holidays in so many ways,” said Jessica Sasser, executive director of Tidelands Health Foundation. “You are honoring a loved one during this special time of year while also investing in the current and future health care heroes serving our community. It truly is a special gift.”
For a minimum $10 tax-deductible donation for each honoree, the Tidelands Health Foundation will illuminate a light on the holiday trees at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Health Medical Park at The Market Common. The trees will remain illuminated throughout the holiday season.
Each donation will also be acknowledged with a special holiday card to the honoree or honoree’s family sent on the donor’s behalf by the Tidelands Health Foundation. In addition, every name honored, memorialized or recognized with a donation will be listed on the Tidelands Health website.
Donors can honor anyone – relatives, cherished friends, teachers, front-line health care workers and more.
“Each and every light on our three special trees will shine brightly in honor of those loved ones who have made a difference in the lives of our donors and community members,” Sasser said.
Donations to Lights of Love can be made now through Jan. 15. Go to donate.tidelandshealth.org to complete the donation form, or call 843-652-8080 for more information.
The Tidelands Health Foundation works in partnership with Tidelands Health, the region’s largest health care provider, to offer new technologies, modern facilities and increased access to health care services in the community.
