A board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician has joined Tidelands Health and is accepting new patients.
Dr. Bert Fichman is an interventional pain management specialist who provides care and treatment for pain in the neck, back and joints, as well as chronic and acute pain not responding to conservative treatment for patients with peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain, cancer-related pain and unresolved pain after spine surgery. He also works with veterans and others to treat PTSD using stellate ganglion blocks. Dr. Fichman works closely with patients to develop the best treatment options for their conditions and desired lifestyles.
Dr. Fichman sees patients at Tidelands Health Pain Management Services at Murrells Inlet, 4040 Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet.
He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed residencies at Bellevue Medical Center and New York University Medical Center. He also earned a master’s degree in health care delivery science from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Dr. Fichman is certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology and in hospice and palliative medicine by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
