Construction has begun at the future site of the splash pad at Futrell Park. Crews began working at the site yesterday, and hope to have the work finished for a grand opening this April. The splash pad is the focal point of a larger renovation plan for the park, with a new playground also in the works for a spring opening. You can find Futrell Park along Mr. Joe White Avenue, next to Myrtle Beach Fire Station No. 1. The entrance is at 1053 Futrell Drive. The splash pad will have four above ground water features and two fountain features. The public splash pad will be a great gathering space for families to cool-off during the hot months!
