Coastal Carolina University is answering the call to offer its products in more locations by introducing Teal Nation, a new retail store in Myrtle Beach.
Teal Nation is located at Broadway at the Beach – one of South Carolina’s top tourist destinations – in its Key West Village area.
The store, at 1169 Celebrity Circle, will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, March 1, at 11 a.m. It will be open daily per Broadway at the Beach operations.
Teal Nation will feature a range of high-quality, officially licensed CCU merchandise, including clothing, accessories, home décor, and gift items. An online store will be launching soon. The location will also offer visitors a place to learn more about enrolling at the University, purchase tickets for cultural arts and athletic events, and arrange tee times at CCU’s General James Hackler Golf Course, located adjacent to the institution’s campus in Conway. Under Armour serves as the University’s official outfitter.
“Teal Nation is an excellent opportunity to expand our footprint and introduce our brand to the millions of people who visit Broadway at the Beach each year,” said CCU President Michael T. Benson. “This location will also provide our students and alumni another great option to shop for a variety of teal and bronze gear. One of the key benefits of this initiative is that our students will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on learning experience while they help to operate the store and answer questions about all things CCU.”
Information about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at CCU, an enrichment program for adult learners 50 and older, will also be available at the location. The program offers its members access to a wide variety of courses, special interest groups, and excursions, as well as other campus and community benefits.
Teal Nation will offer a 30% discount to CCU students, faculty, and staff as well as Alumni Association and Chanticleer Athletic Foundation members with valid CINO or membership cards.
