Russell Fry, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 7th district since 2023, recently shared several updates on his official social media account. Fry, who succeeded Tom Rice and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022, took to Twitter to address various topics ranging from federal employee work arrangements to local economic developments.

On November 21, 2024, Congressman Fry addressed federal employees with a message concerning their work arrangements over the past four years. He stated: "My message to the federal employees who have been working from their couches for the past 4 years - welcome back to the real world!"

The following day, on November 22, Fry announced legislative progress regarding government transparency. He tweeted: "ICYMI — my Grant Transparency Act passed the U.S. House this week! I’m proud to work on legislation that provides more visibility to the American people and accountability for our federal agencies."

Later that same day, Fry highlighted a significant local development in Horry County. He expressed enthusiasm about a new business venture by tweeting: "I’m excited to welcome 357 Brewers, a craft brewery, to Horry County! This $6.4 million project in the Grand Strand will bring 35 new jobs, contribute to our local economy, and provide a great space to bring people together."
