Congressman Russell Fry, representing South Carolina’s 7th district since 2023, shared a series of tweets addressing various topics. The following day, January 30, 2025, Fry expressed his concern over an incident at Reagan National Airport. He tweeted: "I am praying for all those impacted by the tragic air collision at Reagan National Airport tonight." Additionally, he extended gratitude to first responders involved in search and rescue operations.

Later on January 30, Fry announced nominations for U.S. Service Academy candidates from his district. In his tweet he mentioned: "I’m proud to announce U.S. Service Academy nominations for the class of 2029!" He praised the students' commitment and service while expressing optimism about their future contributions.
