City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on September 1.
Did you know that 3,510 golfers are in Myrtle Beach this week for the PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.Com World Amateur Handicap Championship? This year’s players come from all 50 states, even Alaska and Hawaii, with the largest number from Florida (371). They will play rounds on 56 local golf courses, taking an estimated 1,245,851 strokes and making a projected 11 holes-in-one during the week-long tournament.
