Georgetown County: Council adopts redistricting plan

3

Georgetown County issued the following announcement on February 7.

Georgetown County Council gave third and final reading to a redistricting plan at its regular meeting on Feb. 8. It ultimately adopted Map 650, the fifth redistricting map presented to them over the last three months.

Council requested a fifth map following a public input meeting on Feb. 2, during which residents said they were still not happy with the map presented there. Map 650 was unveiled at a redistricting workshop immediately prior to the Feb 8 Council meeting. County Council adopted Map 650 unanimously. The map, along with its four predecessors, is available on our Redistricting Page.
