9

Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 8.

Jeremy Stephens now serves as executive vice president and chief human resources officer of the region’s largest health care provider. He succeeds Jan Harper, who served 15 years in that role prior to his retirement in February.

Busy Kimball, who had served as director of talent acquisition, has been promoted to associate vice president of human resources operations.

With more than 2,500 team members, Tidelands Health is among the area’s largest employers.

Stephens and Kimball joined the health system in leadership roles in 2017.

Stephens, who previously served as vice president of human resources operations, has distinguished himself as a dynamic leader who has implemented a strategic operating system, new employee rewards program, training opportunities and more.

In his new role, Stephens will guide the health system’s HR strategies, including recruitment, educational opportunities and health and wellness initiatives for team members.

“I’m eager to build upon the tremendous advancements made under Jan’s leadership and continue our health system’s track record of human resources excellence as our Tidelands Health team serves our patients and community,” Stephens said.

Prior to joining Tidelands Health, Stephens served in HR leadership roles at hospital and health systems in Michigan, as well as chief human resources officer for the state of Michigan. He earned his bachelor and master’s degrees from Central Michigan University.

In her previous role as director of talent acquisition, Kimball was instrumental in predicting future workforce needs and creating strategies and programs to develop the next generation of health care professionals. Prior to joining Tidelands Health, she worked in recruitment roles in health care and clinical research. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee and her master’s degree from Central Michigan University.

Kimball serves on the board of directors for the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on career and technology advisory boards for the school districts in Georgetown and Horry counties and on the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Waccamaw Region Advisory Board.

Tidelands Health continues to recruit for a variety of positions at its hospitals and more than 60 locations throughout Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties. Apply online at tidelandshealth.org.
