23

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) in conjunction with the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association (MBAHA) has partnered with local businesses to host a series of appreciation breakfasts and dinners for members of the City of Myrtle Beach Police and Fire Departments.

The annual program first began in 2017 as a way for the business community to show their support for those who serve and protect Myrtle Beach during the city’s peak tourism season.

“We have the utmost respect and admiration for those who serve our city and we hope this simple gesture will show them our appreciation for all they do to protect our residents, visitors and businesses,” said Shannon Furtick, MBACC business development services manager.

Members of the Myrtle Beach Police Department will be provided with a grab-and-go breakfast at their Oak Street location every Wednesday morning beginning on June 1 and running through Sept. 7, 2022. Breakfast sponsors are BELFOR, Bluegreen Vacations, Carolina Cool, Cool Ideas Marketing, Dave & Buster's, Edward Jones office of Scott Dietrich, Hilton Garden Inn Myrtle Beach at Coastal Grand Mall, Inspire Coastal Grand, KingOne Properties, Lending to Heroes, Monarch Roofing, Palmetto Protection Films LLC, Restoration 1, Revolution Mortgage, Ryan Korros Team, South Atlantic Bank, Three Ring Focus and United Bank.

Dinners will also be provided to the police department’s nightshift on occasion this summer.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department will be provided with a grab-and-go breakfast at their 38th Ave. N. location on June 24, July 29 and Aug. 12. Breakfast sponsors are A&I Fire and Water Restoration, Bluegreen Vacations and Truist.
