Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina's 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several tweets articulating his stance on recent events. Fry has been serving in Congress since 2023 following his position in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022.

On April 3, 2025, Fry expressed grief over the tragic death of Nate Baker, a 21-year-old University of South Carolina student. "My heart breaks for the family of 21-year-old USC student Nate Baker, killed in a hit-and-run by an illegal immigrant wanted by ICE. Nate had a full life ahead of him—taken far too soon. I will work to ensure tragedies like this never happen again."

In a follow-up tweet on April 4, 2025, Fry emphasized the impact of Baker's death. "SAY HIS NAME: Nate Baker. A student at the University of South Carolina, Nate was described as a great guy with a bright future. Another life lost way too soon at the hands of an illegal immigrant. Enough is enough. Later the same day, Fry spoke positively about the economic performance under the Trump administration. "BOOM!
