Myrtle Beach Issues Hurricane Repair Permits At No Cost

Myrtle Beach will issue hurricane-repair permits at no cost. During Tuesday’s meeting, the Myrtle Beach City Council granted a waiver on building permit fees for any repairs associated with damage from Hurricane Ian. That means that property owners won’t have to pay a permit fee to fix hurricane damage, although they still need to apply for and receive a building permit – to make sure the work is performed correctly. The fee waiver is good for repairs permitted during the next 30 days. It can be extended, if Council wishes.
