Russell Fry, a Congressman representing South Carolina’s 7th District, shared several updates on recent legislative developments and national issues via social media. Fry, who has been serving in Congress since replacing Tom Rice in 2023, expressed his views on topics ranging from local infrastructure funding to federal fiscal policy.

On December 10, 2024, Fry announced that "The House passed the 2024 Water Resources Development Act today which includes $50+ million for critical water infrastructure in Cheraw, Chesterfield, and Florence." He described this as "A HUGE win for the Pee Dee and South Carolina’s Seventh District."

The following day, December 11, he addressed concerns about the national debt. In a tweet he stated that "Our national debt has increased by nearly $75,000 PER SECOND over the past year." He looked forward to a new administration taking office soon that would focus on addressing what he called "our out-of-control spending."

Later that same day, Fry commented on changes within the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He noted that "Christopher Wray’s resignation marks an end to his disgraceful time as FBI Director," accusing both Wray and President Biden of working against American interests. Fry expressed anticipation for Kash Patel's confirmation as a replacement.
