Congressman Russell Fry, representing South Carolina’s 7th district, shared several updates via social media on December 12 and 13, 2024. Fry, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since replacing Tom Rice in 2023, communicated his recent activities and achievements to his constituents.

On December 12, Fry announced that he would be appearing on Newsmax at 11:15 am. He encouraged followers to tune in by stating, "I’ll be joining @Newsmax at 11:15am today! Be sure to tune in."

Later that day, Fry expressed excitement about the signing of his Grant Transparency Act into law by President Biden. He stated, "Thrilled to announce my Grant Transparency Act has been signed into law by @POTUS. I was proud to lead this legislation that will bring clarity to the federal grant application process and excited for its impact in South Carolina and the U.S." The act aims to enhance transparency in the federal grant application process.

On December 13, Fry shared another significant update regarding his new role within Congress. He revealed that he had earned a seat on the House Commerce Committee for the 119th Congress under Representative Guthrie's leadership. Fry remarked on this development by saying, "I am honored to earn a seat on @HouseCommerce for the 119th Congress under the leadership of @RepGuthrie and alongside colleagues who will fight for our America First agenda. This is a huge win for South Carolina as a leader in energy, healthcare, tourism, and so much more."
